What Cadence Is
Cadence is a baby care coordination tool that helps parents:
- Track feedings, sleep, diapers, pump sessions, and routines.
- Coordinate caregiving duties with a partner through "Shift Mode."
- Stay synced across devices, even when offline.
Important Disclaimers
Please read this section carefully:
- Not a Medical Device: Cadence is a coordination tool for parents. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, or replace consultation with your pediatrician or healthcare provider.
- Not a Baby Monitor: Cadence does not monitor your baby. It does not detect breathing, movement, or any physical conditions. It cannot prevent harm or replace parental supervision.
- Notification Limitations: Push notification delivery depends on your device settings (Do Not Disturb, Focus modes), network connectivity, and operating system policies. We cannot guarantee that notifications will be delivered or that they will wake sleeping users.
- Backup Systems: Always maintain backup systems (alarms, physical wake-ups) for critical caregiving shifts.
Subscriptions & Billing
Cadence offers both free and paid subscription options:
Free Tier
Basic baby care tracking features at no cost.
Cadence Pro
- Annual Plan: $49.99/year
- Monthly Plan: $4.99/month
- Free Trial: 7-day free trial available for new subscribers.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your payment method will be charged at the start of each new period.
Managing Your Subscription
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To cancel or manage your subscription, use your device's subscription settings. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as they control payment processing.
Your Responsibilities
When using Cadence, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating your account.
- Keep your login credentials secure.
- Only invite household members who consent to sharing caregiving data.
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes related to baby care coordination.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
- Not use the Service to harass others or share inappropriate content.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Cadence is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Account Termination
By You: You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms other users or the Service. We'll provide notice when possible.
Intellectual Property
Cadence and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
Dispute Resolution
We prefer to resolve disputes informally. If you have a concern, please contact us at support@cadence.family first.
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you agree that any legal proceedings will be conducted in the state or federal courts located in the United States, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of Cadence after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
